Everyone who’s ever played PSP games is passionate about their favorite games. You can tell that just by looking at all the “top 10″ lists online.
I don’t have enough room for a top 10…but I will share with you my personal selection for the best 5 PSP Games. These are not in any particular order, other than they all make the top of my list.
* God of War: Chains of Olympus. As most reviewers have reported, this game almost single-handedly revives and reinvents the 3-D action genre. It features unparalleled presentation and tightly-wound combat. I believe this is the best-looking game created for any hand-held game console.
* Lumines II. I was always a huge Tetris fanatic, which explains why I like this game so much–reminiscent of that classic game. In this one, colored blacks descend from the screen top and you must clear them out by forming various like-colored combinations. It features gorgeous special effects and a great musical soundtrack.
* Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Yes, the GTA franchise makes its appearance on the PSP. The game allows you to build your crime syndicate while watching over your lovely ladies. While it has some flaws, this game provides a great visceral experience.
* Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. This outstanding entry features gorgeous graphics and unbelievable real-tie battles. It’s also a plus that it features cameos by popular characters from Final Fantasy VII.
* Killzone: Liberation. This is a game which totally unshackles the PS2 first-firston shooter experience for the handheld players. Unlike other shooters, it features top-down play, but once you get used to it, it’s a blast.
I’m sure that if you try any one of these games, you’ll consider it money well-spent.
Its only a matter of time before the announcement. With everyone hopping on the subnotebook bandwagon, one can’t help wonder when it is that Apple will announce the Mac Mini.
In the last few months the mini notebook, or sub notebook, seems to have taken the portable computing world by storm, with just about every laptop maker quick to jump on the bandwagon.
Years ago Mac had a 12″ powerbook, and many fans have been crying for it to return. Hopefully Mac isn’t going to miss the boat on this. The mini notebook has enormous appeal. What it lacks in processing power it makes up for with portability.
With rumors floating around, we take a look at some of the past Macbook mini stories from the past.
Although the 12″ powerbook was last seen around 2004, rumors started appearing in 2006 on MacScoop, which were said to be confirmed at the time and even mentioned on CNBC.
If they did make a Macbook Mini, one option I would like is to choose between solid state hard drive or flash memory. Even though flash memory means no DVD, you’ll have a much lighter laptop.
Mac rumors seem to surface often, but we suspect we just might see something soon in the way of a Macbook Mini. We’re waiting for the day Steve announces…
Sony might not be on top of the cell phone market, but they may have a winner here with the new Sony Ericsson X1 Xperia. At long last, a possible iPhone contender from Sony.
We thought this looks like a winner. Even though this smartphone looks like it’s all business, it has all the things you might look for in a recreational phone. The camera is 3.15 megapixels (no, not a Carl Zeis lens…) and it can capture video at 30 fps.
The X1 Xperiaalso includes a 3 inch wide touchscreen, A2DP Bluetooth, aGPS, WiFi, and microSD — just 400MB on board, and a 4-way key and optical joystick.
The X1 Xperia will focus on multimedia and mobile web communications, packed with features including HSDPA/HSUPA, GPS and Wi-Fi.
Even though the display looks like the regular Windows Mobile Professional one, a button brings up a 9 panel window that act as application shortcuts.
How’s this for strange? The Kuma Phone (Bear Phone), a stuffed bear that holds a SIM card and can be used for making and receiving phone calls by holding it up to your ears.
You can save up to four speed dial numbers in the bear, one in each paw. You read correctly.
They are activated by pinching internal sensors. The Bear Phone vibrates and makes custom noises for incoming calls, which can be answered and finished by pressing the Bear Phone’s tail.
We’ve all heard of the potential negative effects of cell phones. There have been many stories over the years, but none that illustrate the potential harm as well as this video…
Watch the video, and prepare to be amazed. Then read more here.
