It sounds like a lot, but according to SkyHook, the iPhone has over 300 applications that are location look ups. While Mobclix says there are over 4,000 iPhone applications in circulation, which means that location lookups are less than 10% of the applications available.

The more popular iPhone applications are Social Networking, Local Search and Navigation make up about 50% of the apps available.
